Virtual Currency & Purchases Policy
Applies to optional in-app purchases on TheSweepsArena.com (New Zealand).
1) Virtual currency basics
- Our virtual currency (e.g., Coins/Tokens/credits as named in-app) is a digital item used within the Services.
- Virtual currency has no real-world monetary value, is not legal tender, and is not redeemable, transferable, or exchangeable for cash, cash equivalents, or prizes.
- You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use virtual currency in accordance with our Terms.
2) Optional purchases, pricing & fees
We may offer optional coin packs and other digital items for purchase. Prices are shown at checkout (typically in NZD). Any applicable taxes (including GST) and payment processing fees will be disclosed before you confirm payment.
Your payment provider may apply additional charges (e.g., bank or card issuer fees). We do not control those charges.
3) Delivery
- Purchased virtual currency is typically credited to your account shortly after payment confirmation.
- Delivery may be delayed due to verification, network issues, suspected fraud, or payment reversals.
- Please keep your account secure; deliveries are made to the account that completed the purchase.
4) Cancellations & refunds
Because virtual currency is a digital item delivered to your account, we generally do not provide refunds for change of mind or for unused balances.
We may review refund requests for issues such as duplicate charges, non-delivery, or unauthorised transactions. If a refund is approved, we may remove the corresponding virtual currency (and any related benefits) from your account.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.
5) Bonuses, promotions & special offers
- Bonus virtual currency (including promotional or loyalty awards) may be subject to additional terms, limits, eligibility requirements, and expiry dates disclosed with the offer.
- We may modify, suspend, or end promotions where permitted by law. Material changes will be communicated in-app or on our site where reasonable.
- Promotional virtual currency is not redeemable for cash, cash equivalents, or prizes.
